Given data :

  • Sadaf bought 2.25 kg beef at the rate of Rs 160 per kg.

  • 0.75 kg mutton at the rate of Rs 350 per kg.

  • 2.35 kg chicken at the rate of Rs 170 per kg.

To find : What amount does Sadaf have from Rs 1500.

Solution :

Now, we need to find cost of 2.25 kg beef.

→ cost of beef = 2.25 * 160

→ cost of beef = Rs 360 ......( 1 )

Similarly, we need to find cost of 0.75 kg mutton.

→ cost of mutton = 0.75 * 350

→ cost of mutton = Rs 262.5 ......( 2 )

Similarly, we need to find cost of 2.35 kg chicken.

→ cost of chicken = 2.35 * 170

→ cost of chicken = Rs. 399.5 ......( 3 )

Now, from eq. ( 1 ), ( 2 ) & ( 3 )

→ cost { beef + mutton + chicken }

= 360 + 262.5 + 399.5

→ cost { beef + mutton + chicken }

= 622.5 + 399.5

→ cost { beef + mutton + chicken }

= Rs 1022

Now, subtract cost of { beef + mutton + chicken } from Rs 1500. to find remaining amount which sadaf have, from Rs 1500.

→ Reamaning amount of sadaf

= 1500 - cost { beef + mutton + chicken }

→ Reamaning amount of sadaf

= 1500 - 1022

→ Reamaning amount of sadaf

= Rs 478

Answer : Hence, Sadaf have Rs 478 from Rs 1500.
