♣️Dilution♣️

the dilution of a concentrated acid should always be done by adding concentrated acid to water gradually with stirring and not by adding water to concentrated acid.

  • if I were water is added to concentrated acid to dilute it then a large amount of heat is evolved at once.this heat change some of the water to stream explosively which can splash the acid on your face of clothes and causes acid burns .

Answer:

The safe way to dilute an acid is to add acid to water drop by drop using a dropper and not water to acid.

Explanation:

This is because, the heat holding capacity of water is more than acids and hence the beaker containing acid (when water is added to acid) may explode causing burns.
