sahiba buys a shawl for rupees 4500 and sells it to salma for rupees 5000.salma sells the same shawl to her friend for rupees 5500 find out whose profit percent is more .

for Sahiba = CP = 4500/-
SP = 5000/-
Profit = SP - CP = 5000 - 4500 = 500/-
profit \: \% =  \frac{profit}{cp}  \times 100 \\  = 11 \frac{5}{45} or \: 11 \frac{1}{9}
for salma = CP = 5000/-
SP = 5500/-
Profit = SP - CP = 5500 - 5000
=500
profit\% =  \frac{500}{5000} \times 100 \\ 10\%

Profit percentage of sahiba=(500/4500)*100=11%
and of salma=(500/5000)*100=10%
