Answer:

--------------------------------–---

By Unitary Method -

Number of saplings = 4

Distance between 'Sapling A' and 'Sapling B' =

3/4m

Since the distance between 2 saplings is 3/4 m

Therefore, the distance between first sapling and third sapling will be 3/4 + 3/4... Which is equals to 6/4 or 3/2...

Now similarly, distance between 1st sapling and the 4th sapling will be 3/2 + 3/4... Which is equals to 9/4...

So, your answer is 9/4 m.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

By Fractional method -

Number of saplings = 4

Distance between 'Sapling A' and 'Sapling B' =

3/4m

Number of gaps between saplings = 3

Therefore, the distance between 1st and 4th sapling will be 3/4 + 3/4 + 3/4...

= 9/4...

Therefore, your answer is 9/4 m...

I have solved this question with 2 methods above...

1) Unitary method - Using Logics and references.

2) Fractional method - Using fractions.

I think you will understand better that's why I solved with 2 methods...

Hope it helps.
