Sakhi buys 6 dozen bulbs for rupees1560 per dozen. She sells 3 dozen at the rate of rupees 1638. She finds that 6 of the bulbs were defective. She then sells the remaining
bulbs at the rate of rupees 1500 per dozen. Find the final gain or loss per cent.​

Answer:

sakhi buys 6 dozen bulbs=72 bulbs

means 72bulbs in 1560 rupees

consider x = 1 bulb

so 72 x= 1560

she sells 3 dozen means 36 bulbs for 1638 , so 36x = 1638

6x was defective

so last 30x = 5÷2(1500)

she spend 1560 and she got

1638 + 2250=3888 rupees

so she gain 3888-1560=2328 rupees
