let 'n' be the total number of flowers in the basket
she offers half of the flowers to each temple, so
n/(2x2x2) = 6
n = 6 x 8 = 48

The number of flower Sakshi had in the beginning = 48 .

  • Let number of initial flower be x.
  • After visiting the first temple , number of remaining flowers = x/2
  • After visiting the second temple , number of remaining flowers = x/4
  • After visiting the third temple , number of remaining flowers = x/8
  • According to the question,

       (x/8) = 6

        x = 48
