let the salaries of A and B be 2x and 3x

and,

let the savings of A and B be 1y and 2y

=> 2x- y = 24000 ................(1)

and,3x- 2y= 24000.................(2)

now subtracting (2) from (1)

for that we must multiply eq (1) ×2

=>x = 24000

=> 2(24000) - y = 24000

=> y = 24000
