Given:-

  • Ratio of salary of Ravi and Sudhir = 2:3
  • Salary of each is increased by 4000
  • and the new ratio of salary we get is 40:56.

Solution :-

We have to find the salary of Sudhir.

Let the ratio be x. Then the ratio of original salaries of Ravi and Sumit will be 2x and 3x.

From given scenario,

 \sf\longrightarrow \dfrac{2x+4000}{3x+4000} = \dfrac{40}{56} \\ \\ \sf\longrightarrow \: 56(2x + 4000) = 40(3x + 4000) \\ \\ \sf \longrightarrow \: \: 112x + 224000 = 120x + 160000 \\ \\ \sf\longrightarrow \: 8x = 64000 \\ \\ \longrightarrow\boxed{\sf{x = 8000}}\\

Sudir's present salary = (3x + 4000)

= 3(8000) + 4000

= 24000 + 4000

= Rs. 28000

Answer:

Given:-

Ratio of salary of Ravi and Sudhir = 2:3

Salary of each is increased by 4000

and the new ratio of salary we get is 40:56.

= Rs. 28000
