Leaching saline sodic solids saline soils are mostly also Sodic but they do not have a very high PH Nor a poor infiltration rate. Upon leaching there very usually not converted into a alkali soil as theNa+ ions are easily removed..

Saline and alkaline soils are found in abudance in Uttar Pradesh.

Alkaline Soils are less soluble and their nutrient value is very less and they are not considered good soil for agriculture and farming but they can be treated.

But some vegetables like beans cauliflower, garlic, and peas grow well in alkaline soil.
