Required Answer:-

Salt disolve in water but as salt is constantly added to water at the some point salt appear at the bottom of vessel. Why this happens?

This happens because:

  • Matter is particulate in nature and the particles inside the matter consists of Interparticular spaces.

  • Water is also a matter. As it is in liquid state, there is some Interparticular spaces.

  • The Salt when dissolved in water, occupies these spaces and there is no change in volume. It is known to be a salt solution.

  • But, After sometimes these spaces are filled up by the salt particles and there is no space available.

  • Hence after sometimes, the salt starts settling at the bottom because no more salt can be added to the water in that particular temp.

Required Answer :-

Salt dissolve in water but salt is constantly added to water at bottom because at the bottom the salt go down when it added and when it stops the most sand go at bottom. Sometimes, salts dissolve but at bottom there are few thick particles of salt. Since, the thick salt have large density than Water.
