SOLLUTION:

Let, the ratio constant be x

• therefore, money shared by Sam = 5x
• And money shared by Bethan = 4x

money shared by sam + money shared

by Bethan = £ 54

=> 5x + 4x = 54

=> 9x = 54

=> x = 54\9

=>x = 6

therefore,

• money share by sam = 5x = 5×6 = £30
