Sam is twice as old as paul and the sum of each age is 24 years. How old is each?

Sam age = S

Paul age = P

S = 2P & S + P = 24

S + P = 24

2P + P = 24

P = 8

S = 2P

= 16

Sam age = 16 years

Paul age = 8 years
