Samaasaha is derived from the root "Asu" with 'Sam' as prefix. Asu is used in the sense of "Kshepane" or "to throw" . The prefix 'Sam' means 'well' / beautifully/gracefully etc. Now together it means beautifully, gracefully thrown together; beautifully united etc.. In Sanskrit it is defined as "Samasanam Samaasaha." Samasyate anekam padam iti Samaasaha."
