Samir bought a box containing ball pens and gel pens. The number of ball pens was six less than gel pens and there were a total of 24 pens. How many gell pens did Samir buy?​

Answer:

Lets no of ball pens be x

no of gel pens = x+6

Total pens = 24

x+x+6=24

2x=24-6

2x=18

x=9

no of ball pens = 9

no of gel pens= x+6 = 9 + 6 = 15
