Sanchit has Rs. 45 in the form of Rs. 1 and 50p coins. If he has 70 coins in all. Find the number of coins of each denomination.​

x+y=70-i)

She has total 45rs so

x + 0.5y=45-ii)

Subtracting i) and ii)

Then we get

0.5y=25

Means there were 50 coins of 50paisa.

Now putting value of y in i)

So we will get x=20

So it means that there were 20 coins of 1rs coin

So 1rs coins=20

50p coins=50
