As because the snow is sleepery and if the train runs in such track , due to not having frictional force the brake will fail down and a accident may occur . And to prevent from this snow is thrown in the track.

Answer:
When snow falls on the roads then the roads fully covered with snow due to which the friction which is present on the roads or tracks reduce simultaneously .
So the vehicles travelling on the road have risks for road accidents.
So to increase the frictional force on the road the sand is thrown on the snow covered road or track we can prevent road accidents ..
