And once discovered, he constantly kept leaving his ease zone and to share his success secrets with the whole world. It was this urge of assisting people and doing something good for the society which that inspired him to become a public and motivational speaker. Below is a speech by Sandeep Maheswari where he speaks about how our mind works and how mind reacts to different situations are and why it is necessary to control our mind

EXPLANATION:

  • Happiness and sorrow are synonymous with each other, meaning that there is only one, which is happiness, it is sorrow, and only our thinking makes a difference between the two. Just like you ate mango, you felt its taste sweet, it is happiness, then you ate neem, you felt bitter, in fact, the bitterness of neem is not sorrow but you are looking for the taste like mango in everything. Happiness is like a wheel, if one comes then another will go, but you feel the happiness.
  • Think there is something that gives you pleasure, gives happiness, and when that thing goes away from you, then it is sad. Actually, the reason for sorrow is our "desire", when we want something and we do not get it, then we are sad. Grief does not hurt us, our "desire" makes us sad. Otherwise there is no such thing as sorrow and happiness in the world, this is all the time, now the time is something else, after a while there will be something else. If we really come to know that everything is temporary, mortal, then we will not be sad.
  • Neither sorrow is everlasting nor is happiness the truth. Think you are sleeping and what happens if a lizard passes by your hand? Nothing, you won't mind because you don't know. Now imagine if a lizard passes through your hand, what will be your reaction? You will immediately get upset and feel dirty; but think the lizard did not bother you, your mind will not be disturbed. I have a friend who is a Pandit, was travelling in a bus. There was a crowd in the bus, all the people were standing adjacent to each other, even till Pandit was comfortable, a boy was standing next to him. Suddenly someone from behind called the boy, the boy's name felt as though he was of low caste.
  • Now immediately the Pandit felt that his religion got corrupted but when for long he was standing with the same boy nothing happened. Whatever the Pandit did was because his mind did it, otherwise humans are humans. Think about how you will feel if you have a favorite actor or actress in front of you; you will be very excited and you will be happy at the same time.  However if a person whom you do not like comes before you, then you will not feel good.
  • While that actor is also a human being and so is the person whom you do not like, yet the only difference is the mind thinking. Friends, when you are watching a comedy serial or reading a joke you enjoy it, while you get angry when someone scolds you. Think carefully, you have no control over your mind. Our control is in the hands of others, someone can scold us and make us sad, some jokes can make us laugh. Our mind is not only in what we say but also in what others are saying. That is why we are worried, if you control your mind, the whole game will be over, all will be clear. All happiness will remain happiness”.
