Let the salary be = x
Saved = 30% of x = 0.3x
Invested in LIC = 40% of saving = 40% of 0.3x = 0.4*0.3x
Invested in HDFC = 35% of saving = 35% of 0.3x = 0.35*0.3x
Others = 25% of saving = 25% of 0.3x = 0.25*0.3x
According to the question,
amount invested in LIC - amount invested in others = 135
0.4*0.3x - 0.25*0.3x = 135
0.3x(0.4 - 0.25) = 135
0.3x*0.15 = 135
x = 135/0.3*0.15
x = 3000
Therefore, salary = Rs 3000/
Saved = 30% of x = 0.3x
Invested in LIC = 40% of saving = 40% of 0.3x = 0.4*0.3x
Invested in HDFC = 35% of saving = 35% of 0.3x = 0.35*0.3x
Others = 25% of saving = 25% of 0.3x = 0.25*0.3x
According to the question,
amount invested in LIC - amount invested in others = 135
0.4*0.3x - 0.25*0.3x = 135
0.3x(0.4 - 0.25) = 135
0.3x*0.15 = 135
x = 135/0.3*0.15
x = 3000
Therefore, salary = Rs 3000/
