firstly sngeeta lend a shop = 40960
Amar purchase a shop = 12.5 percent
Compound interest formula = P(1+R)time
firstly semi annually = 12.5/2 = 6.25
time = 3/2*2=3 ( because change into semiannualy multiply by 2)
Compound interest = 40960(1+6.25)*3
Answer is = 890880.

Answer:

Rs.8170

Step-by-step explanation:

Principal = Rs.40960

Rate of interest = 12.5%

Time = 1.5 years

No. of compounds per year = 2

Amount = P(1+\frac{r}{n})^{nt}

Substitute the values

So,Amount = 40960(1+\frac{12.5}{200})^{1.5 \times 2}

Amount = 49130

Interest = Amount - Principal = 49130 - 40960 = 8170

Hence the interest paid is Rs.8170
