Sanjay and Mohit are ranked sixth and thirteenth respectively from the top in a class of 35 students.

To find : what will be their respective ranks from the bottom in the class ?

solution : Sanjay's rank from the bottom in the class = total students - Sanjay's rank from the top of class + 1

= 35 - 6 + 1

= 30

Mohit's rank from the bottom in the class = total students - Mohit's rank from the top in the class + 1

= 35 - 13 + 1

= 23

Therefore Sanjay and Mohit are ranked 30th and 23th respectively from the bottom in the class.
