after 6 yrs sanjay's brother's age=x+6
therefore sanjay's age becomes=x/2 +6

after 6 yrs sanjay is 3/5 of his brother's age
3/5(x + 6)=x/2+6
=>3x/5+18/5=(x+12)/2
=>(3x+18)/5=(x+12)/2
=>2(3x + 18)=5(x+12)
=>6x+36=5x+60
=>6x-5x=60-36
=>x=24
