▶ Question - Sanjeev has 60 rupees in 10 rupee and 5 rupee coin if the 10 rupee coins exceed the number of 5 rupee coins by three. How many coins of each does he have ?

▶Explanation :-

Let the number of 5 /- coins be x

Number of 10 /- coins = ( x + 3 )

Cost of 5 /- coins = 5x

Cost of 10/- coins = 10 ( x + 3 )

Total amount with Sanjeev = 60 /-

Now, According to the Question :-

5x + 10x + 30 = 60

15x + 30 = 60

15x = 30

x = 2

∴ Number of 5 /- coins = 2

∴ Number of 10 /- coins = 5
