Answer: There are 10 marbles that is with Sanjeev now.

And algebraic expression for the marbles is given by

3+x=13

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of marbles Sanjeev had = 3

Let the number of marbles he bought later on be 'x'.

According to question, we get that now he has 4 times the number of marbles he had initially:

3+x=4\times 3\\\\3+x=12\\\\x=12-3\\\\x=9

Now, Number of marbles he lost = 5

So, Number of marbles becomes,

9-5=4

Number of marbles his friend gave him = 6

So, Number of marbles he has now is given by

4+6=10

Hence, there are 10 marbles that is with Sanjeev now.

And algebraic expression for the marbles is given by

3+x=12-5+6\\\\3+x=13
