Let the present age of sanjeev's son be X year's.

Present age of sanjeev = 2 ( Present age of his son ) = 2X year's.

After 4 years age of sanjeev = Present age of sanjeev + 4 = ( 2X + 4 ) year's.

After 4 years age of his son = Present age of his son + 4 = ( X + 4 ) year's.

Before 9 year's age of his son = Present age of his son - 9 = ( X - 9 ) year's.

According to question,

After 4 years age of sanjeev = 4 ( age of his son before 9 year's ).

2X + 4 = 4 ( X - 9 )

2X + 4 = 4X - 36

4X - 2X = 4 + 36

2X = 40

X = 20 year's.

Present age of sanjeev's son = X = 20 year's.

Present age of sanjeev = 2X = 40 year's.

 \textbf {Hey there, here is the solution.}

.............................................................................................

STEP 1: Define x:

Let the son be x years old

Sanjeev = 2x

.............................................................................................

STEP 2: Find Sanjeev's age 4 years later:

Sanjeev = 2x + 4

..............................................................................................

STEP 3: Find his son's age 9 years ago:

Son = x - 9

.............................................................................................

STEP 4: Form equation:

After 4 years, she will be 4 times as old has his son 9 years ago

2x + 4 = 4(x - 9)

.............................................................................................

STEP 5: Solve x:

2x + 4 = 4(x - 9)

2x + 4 = 4x - 36

2x = 40

x = 20

.............................................................................................

STEP 6: Find their age:

Son = x = 20 years old

Sanjeev = 2x = 2(15) = 40 years old

..............................................................................................

Answer: Sanjeev is 40 years old and his son is 20 years old.
