Santosh Singh is a farmer in the village. He has two sons Rajeev and Sanjeev.

He divided a rectangular field into two parts for agriculture, one for his son

Rajeev and other for Sanjeev as shown below

Perimeter of the Rajeev’s plot is 120m and the length of the Sanjeev’s plot is

3m more than that of Rajeev.

i) write the linear equation for the perimeter of the plot of Rajeev.

ii) What is the perimeter of the plot of Sanjeev?

You haven't attached any attachment, that's why I'm taking this conclusion :

Santosh Singh divided a rectangular field into two square parts for agriculture, one for his son's Rajeev and Sanjeev.

Coming to Questions :

i) Write the linear equation for the perimeter of the plot of Rajeev.

As plot is in Square shape, hence

⇒ Perimeter of Rajeev's Plot = 120 m

⇒ 4Side = 120

  • Taking side as a

4a = 120

Linear equation can be (4a = 120).

Solving it further, we get

  • Dividing both sides by 4

⇒ a = 30 m

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀───────────────

ii) What is the perimeter of the plot of Sanjeev?

It's given in the question, the length of Sanjeev's plot is 3 m more than that of Rajeev.

⇢ Perimeter = 4 × Side

⇢ Perimeter = 4 × (Rajeev's plot side + 3)

⇢ Perimeter = 4 × (30 + 3)

⇢ Perimeter = 4 × 33

Perimeter = 132 m

Perimeter of Sanjeev's plot is 132 m.
