S=4×E equation 1
After 16 years Sarah will be S+16 and Emily will be E+16. Again it is given
(S+16)=2×(E+16)
S=2E+16 equation 2
Put the values of S from equation 1 in equation 2
4E=2E+16
2E=16
E=16/2=8
Put this value of E in equation 1, you will get
S=4×8=32
