Given:

Sarah creates a circle graph i.e., a Pie Chart summarizing a survey results of different colors and names it as "Favorite Color".

The percentage of each color in the circle graph are as follows:

Red: 32%

Orange: 26%

Green: 13%

Teal: 13%

Purple: 18%

To find:

The percentage of section x in the graph

Solution:

The given question is a question on Data Interpretation. Now lets understand and solve the value for x.

Let us assume that the percentage of the circle graph as a whole to be 100%.

The circle graph consists of red, orange, green, teal and purple colors where we are given the percentage of red, orange, teal and purple colors.

So, if subtract the summation of all the other colors from 100%, then we will get the percentage of green color i.e., the value of x.

∴ The percentage of green color is given by,

= 100 - [32 + 26 + 13 + 18]

= 11% ← option (a)

Thus, section x must represent 11% in the circle graph.
