Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born in Sept 5, 1888.He belonged to south India, north East Madras In his honour the day of his birth is celebrated as the teacher's day in India.H e was the first elected vice President of India in 1952. after serving 2 terms of vice President he was made President in 1962. He was a great philosopher reading a no. of books although he belonged to an economically backward family. He was often called abroad to deliver his lectures an varous topics. He was even appointed as ambassador to UNESCO in 1946. On April 17 , 1975 he died
