1) Veins carry deoxygenated blood .
2) Veins have thin wall as deoxygenated blood does not exert much pressure on the wall of veins.
1) Arteries carry oxygenated blood.
2) Arteries have thick wall as oxygenated blood exerts high pressure on the wall of arteries.
