Expert Answer:

Let a person has invested Rs. x in the bank A and 5000 - x in the bank B.

According to the question,

2% of x + 3% of (5000 - x) = 130

fraction numerator negative straight x over denominator 100 end fraction plus 150 equals 130

fraction numerator negative straight x over denominator 100 end fraction equals negative 20

A person has invested Rs. 2000 in the bank A and Rs. 3000 in the bank B.
