He will be 1.47 km towards east from p Ans= 15/7-2/3= 31/21= 1.47

The Current Position of Satpal is \frac{22}{21} \ km OR  1\frac{1}{21} \ km from P towards west.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Satpal Walks from P towards east = \frac{2}{3}\ km

Now from that point towards west = 1\frac{5}{7}\ km

1\frac{5}{7}\ km can be Rewritten as  \frac{12}{7}\ km

Hence

Now from that point towards west =  \frac{12}{7}\ km

We need to find the current Position from P.

SO to find the current Position we will Subtract from that point towards west with from P towards east.

framing in equation form we get;

current Position = \frac{12}{7}-\frac{2}{3}

Now taking LCM to make the Denominator common we get;

current Position = \frac{12\times3}{7\times3}-\frac{2\times7}{3\times7}= \frac{36}{21} -\frac{14}{21} = \frac{36-14}{21}= \frac{22}{21} \ km

\frac{22}{21} \ km can be written in Mixed fraction as  1\frac{1}{21} \ km

So The Current Position of Satpal is \frac{22}{21} \ km OR  1\frac{1}{21} \ km from P towards west.
