Elimination method is mainly A Method which are used to solve the simultaneous equations etc.
Example is in the pic.
As in this method we multiply in first equation and also in second question to make the equation balanced and easy to cancelling out by subtract or add .

eleminating x,y for two times separately
for example
2x + 3y= 8 _(1)
5x + 2y = 9_(2)
multiply (1) with 5 and (2) with 2
10x +15y=40
10x + 4y =18
for example
