Sawdust will not mix in the water since the saw dust is very light and stays afloat in water. It does not settle down, therefore sedimentation is not a suitable method for separation of the mixture

Sawdust cannot mixed with water it is float on the water. so we cannot seperate them by the process of sedimentation
