The subjects which were taught in the city schools are English and Science. Music is also a part of the school curriculum. Teachings about God and scriptures were not that common in the subjects in the city schools. On the other hand, the school in the village was attached to the temple where the temple priest was the teacher. He taught the children about the alphabet and the prayer.
