Answer:

answer is 25%

Explanation:

Formula to calculate concentration is = Mass of solute / Mass of solution × 100

200 / 800+200 × 100

200/1000 × 100

1/5 × 100

Given : A solution contains 200 g of common salt in 800 g of water.

To find : Calculate the concentration of solution?

Applying formula :

1) Mass of solution = Mass of solute + Mass of solvent.

2) Mass percentage = Mass of solute/Mass of solution × 100.

Calculations :

→ Mass of solution = 200 + 800

→ Mass of solution = 1000

→ Mass percentage = 30/1000 × 100

→ Mass percentage = 0.03 × 100

→ Mass percentage = 3%

Therefore, 3% is the mass percentage of the solution.
