 \frac{1}{r |p| }  =  \frac{1}{6}  +  \frac{1}{6}  \\  =  \frac{2}{6}  \\  =  \frac{1}{3}

Rp=3

total resistance = 3+6=9 ohm

(b)

Two resistors are in series so add them

=6+6

=12 ohm

Now total resistance,

1/Rp= 1/12+1/6

1/Rp= 1+2/12

1/Rp=1/4

Rp=4
