Avg. Speed = 30 + 30/4+2

= 60/6

= 10m/s.

Avg. Velocity = Total displacement /total time.

Hence , not sufficient data Is given.

If the total displacement is equal to total distance coverd.

Then avg. Velocity = avg. Speed.

Simple, it's basics of class 9th.

Make your concept clear and prepare for IIt or Aiims or neet from Pre boards.

Answer:

(i)Average speed = Total distance /Total time

=(30+30)/(4+2)

=60/6

=10 m/s2

(ii)Average displacement=Total displacement/total time

Given data is insufficient.

(iii) Average speed will be equal to Average velocity when the displacement and distance travelled is same in unit time.
