yes, the velocity of an object can reverse the direction when its acceleration is constant.

coz at AT t=seconds. and the body is on motion moving forward at 2m/s. hence t becomes negative which implies t=-2 we consider the negative sing for the direction because here if a body is moving in a forward direction we use negative nd for backward its positive
