Seawater can be purified by the process of distillation. (Option a)

  • In this process, the liquid that needs purification is heated up till it vapourises and is then condensed back to its liquid form.
  • The seawater is heated up which kills the pollutants and is condensed back to get pure water.
  • Filtration does not separate salt from the water and doesn't work.
  • Evaporation does not make it suitable for consumption and Fraction distillation is used to separate various components.
