Factorize the polynomial x² + 3x²y + 3xy+y³+y³-8

= x² +3x²y + 2y³ - 8

x²(1+3y) + (2y³-2³)

(identity to use : a³-b³ = (a-b)(a² + ab + b²)

x²(1+3y) + (2y-2)(2y² + (2y)(2) + 2²)

x²(1+3y) + (2y-2)(4y² + 4y + 4)

x²(1+3y) +( 2(y-1) × 4(y² + y + 1))

x²(1+3y) + (2(y-1) × 4(y(y+1) + 1))

Hope it helps!

have a great day!
