Answer:

metals undergo a final process to free them from impurities the process is known as electrolytic refining and anode has a strip of non metal and cathode has strip of pure metal now what happens when current is passed through the electrolyte the pure metal dissolves Andhra impurities settled down as anode mud.

the impurities present in the impure metal are set up under the anode as anode mud.

this takes place for metals which have high reactivity

that is nothing but ELECTROLYTIC REFINING.ANODE-IMPURE AND CATHODE- PURE METAL .THE CATIONS WILL BE DEPOSITED ON IMPURE ROD AND THE GETS SETTLED IN THE BEAKER KNOWN AS ANODE MUD
