Father is = 30 years older than his son

After 12 years = Father is thrice the age of his son.

To find :

Their present ages

Solution :

Let the present ages be -

Son as x

Father as (x + 30)

After 12 years old -

Son = (x + 12)

Father = (x + 30) + 12

According to the Question -

After  12 years the man will be = 3 times as old as his son

Son's present age = 3 years
