SECULARISM MEANS PEOPLE'S PARTICIPATION IN GOVERNMENT

.CONSTITUTION SAYS THAT WITHOUT PEOPLE'S PARTICIPANTS GOVERNMENT CAN'T RUN OR FORM

. THEN EVERY DECISION MADE BY GOVERNMENT NEEDS PEOPLE'S PARTICIPANTS

. WITHOUT PEOPLE'S PARTICIPANTS NOTHING WILL HAPE IN DEMOCRACY

. IF THERE IS NO PEOPLE'S PARTICIPANTS IT WILL NOT BE AS DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT

HOPE IT IS USEFUL

In India secularism means equal treatment of all religions by the state. There is no official state religion. In India many religions have co-existed and evolved together for many centuries. So it is essential to separate the government from religion. The state is not supposed to patronize any religion or discriminate against any religion.

The Constitution provides freedom to practice, profess and propagate any religion. Secularism allows them to flourish without any state interference. So it is not an ideology of some political parties or persons, but it is one of the foundations of our country.
