Seeds must always be sown at an appropriate depth and distance.
A farmer must make sure that the seeds are at good depth so that they can extract the nutrition from the soil and rupture quickly, but they should not be very deep as then the roots won’t be able to come out of the soil.
The roots also need space to grow, hence the distance matters.

Answer:
Explanation:
Seeds should be sown at appropriate depth because seeds sown superficially can be eaten by the birds .In addition to this , the seeds should not be sown to close as the plants will not get sufficient space to grow and will compete for space nutrients and sunlight
