Supplement of an angle means an angle which when added to the given angle sum up to 180

Actually the question is a bit wrong ,

Supplement can be obtuse only if the other angle is acute

So angle a <90
a + b = 180 degrees
b= 180 -a
b = 180 -(<90)
b> 90 degrees

Hence proved

Here is your answer

Hope it helps
