Given :

The amount of money spent by Seema to buy each   shirt = 201 \frac{1}{2}

The amount of money spent by Radha to buy a each shirt = 220 \frac{3}{4}

To Find :

Who spent more money in buying shirts ?

Solution :

No of shirts bought by Seema = 12

Since she buys each at Rs 201 \frac{1}{2} , so total money spent by Seema is :

=12 \times 201 \frac{1}{2}\\=12 \times \frac{402 + 1}{2}\\= 12 \times \frac{403}{2}\\= 6 \times 403 \\=2418

So Seema spent a total of  Rs 2418 .

Now total number of shirts bought by Radha = 10

Since she buys each shirt at Rs   220 \frac{3}{4}  , So total money spent by Radha is :

= 10 \times \frac{220\times 4 + 3}{4}\\=10 \times \frac{880 + 3}{4}\\= 10 \times \frac{883}{4}\\= 22075

So Radha spent a total of Rs 2207.5 .

Here , 2418 > 2207.5 .

Hence , Seema spent more money in buying shirts .
