Step-by-step explanation:

Let Meena's money in the beginning be x,

Seeta = (x + 40)

ATQ

(x + 40 + 15)/ (x + 15) = 13/5

(x + 55) =  13(x + 15)/5            (moving x + 15 from lhs to rhs)

5(x + 55)  =  13x + 195            (moving 5 from rhs to lhs)

5x + 275  =  13x + 195

275   =    13x - 5x + 195

275 - 195 = 8x

80 = 8x

80/8 = x

x = 10

therefore meena had 10 rupees in the beginning.
