Given info : segment PQ is parallel to y - axis and coordinates of point P are (1, 3).

To find : the coordinates of point Q can be..

solution : a/c to question,

PQ is parallel to y - axis.

so, slope of PQ = slope of y axis

slope of PQ = 1/0

let point Q is (x , y)

then, slope of PQ = (y - 3)/(x - 1) = 1/0

⇒x - 1 = 0

⇒x = 1 and y ∈ R means, y can be any real number

i.e., y = 0, 1, -1, 2, √3 , -3 ...

Therefore coordinates of point P can be (1 , y) where y belongs to all real numbers.
