(B) It contains Two -OH groups on 1º carbons.

- Glycerol is the trihydroxy alcohol (having 3 hydroxyl groups) with each carbon atom containing one -OH group.

- The extreme carbon atoms have 2 hydrogen atoms and the central carbon atom has one hydrogen atom.

- So the 2 extreme carbon atoms are 1º and the central carbon atom is 2º.

- Hence,  two -OH groups are attached to the extreme 1º carbons.
