The important characteristic features of mammals is milk producing glands.
Mammals are endothermic vertebrate animals with a number of unique characteristics such as the presence of hair or fur, Sweat glands and a mammary gland which is an exocrine gland that produces milk to feed young offspring.
The milk-producing gland characteristic of all females are present in a rudimentary in the breasts responsible for what is known as lactation and non-functional form in males.
